Job summary

Crisis24 in Cape Town is seeking a composed Threat Detection Analyst to join our 24/7 monitoring team. You will monitor real-time regional events using open-source and local-language media to identify threats and support client safety and business continuity.

The role requires two years in security/analysis, a relevant degree, and strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Weekend work is possible as part of a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., security studies, international relations).
• Two+ years of professional experience in intelligence, security, risk analysis or related field.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time regional events using open-source and local-language media to identify potential threats.
• Assess and prioritize incidents with personal safety or business continuity implications.
• Draft concise, accurate intelligence products including tactical alerts under tight timeframes.
• Support 24/7 operations, including weekend work when required.
• Perform additional analytical or operational tasks as assigned.
