Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 years practical experience in Tender Administration in a supply chain environment.
• 1 year practical experience in Contracts environment (advantageous).
• Familiarity with tender policy, legal requirements and supplier evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Administer the entire tender process per standards, procedures, policies and legal requirements.
• Initiate, manage, benchmark and tender processes and evaluate documents for adjudication.
• Consult with stakeholders, appoint providers in line with policy and prepare documentation.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and ensure tender templates and documents are accurate.

Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, and is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.

The successful applicant will report to the Contracts Specialist or nominee.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12/Standard 10 Certificate.
• Higher Certificate: Commercial / Finance related studies or equivalent.
• Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence or higher.
• Advantageous: National Diploma: Supply Chain/Logistics orequivalent.
• Advantageous: CIPS Certificate Level 6.
• Advantageous: Certificate: Contract Management/Tender/Bid Administration/ Supply Chain/ Procurement/ Logistics.
• Advantageous: Bachelor’s degree: Supply chain/Procurement/Logistics.

EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

• 3 years practical experience to Tender Administration in a Supply Chain Environment.
• Advantageous: 1- year practical experience in Contracts Environment.

DUTIES (including but not limited to):

• Tender Administrator is responsible for administering the entire tender process as per set the standards, procedures, policies and legal requirements.
• Initiate and manage and benchmark and tender processes in accordance with tender policy and procedure within the legal requirements. Evaluate submitted tender documents considering scope of work and submit recommendation to service requestor. Make recommendations to tender committee for adjudication of tenders and appoint, in consultation with relevant parties, most suitable provider and conclude required documentation.
• Liaise with all relevant internal and external stakeholders regarding tenders and contracts. Sending out templates and filling the tender documents.
• Align Tender standards and policies with the Group to ensure legal compliance. Working with surveyor to make sure the mine is not overcharged.
