Midvaal Recruitment is seeking an experienced Conventional Turner for a short-term temporary contract in Beaconvale, Cape Town. The candidate will work on conventional machinery such as centre lathes, turning and finishing components per drawings with accuracy and quality.

The role requires reading drawings, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet production deadlines in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Trade-Tested Turner with proven experience on conventional turning machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, measurements and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional lathes and workshop machinery.
• Turn, machine and finish components according to drawings and specs.
• Measure with verniers and micrometers to ensure tolerances.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and report issues.
