Qualifications

• Trade-tested or qualified Turner with relevant technical qualification.
• Experience in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing workshop.

Responsibilities

• Operate conventional turning machinery to manufacture and repair components.
• Perform precision turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving and related machining operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set up and operate lathes according to job requirements.
• Measure components using verniers, micrometers and precision measuring equipment.
• Work with steel and stainless steel.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure tolerances and specifications are met.
• Assist with repair, refurbishment and machining of industrial rollers and related components.
