Job summary

Midvaal Recruitment is sourcing an experienced and trade-tested CNC Turner for a short-term temporary contract in Beaconvale, Cape Town. The role requires hands-on CNC turning experience and the ability to read technical drawings, with a focus on delivering precise components to specification.

The ideal candidate will be trade-tested, detail-oriented and capable of independent work to meet production deadlines within a manufacturing environment. Short notice commencement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Trade Tested Turner – essential.
• Proven CNC turning experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or machining environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, measurements and tolerances.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC turning machinery.
• Competent with measuring equipment and precision instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
• Good knowledge of workshop health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning machinery.
• Manufacture and machine components according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform accurate measurements and quality inspections.

• Monitor machining processes and make adjustments where required.
• Conduct basic machine checks and maintain a clean and safe work area.

About the Position

Midvaal Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Beaconvale, Cape Town, for an experienced and Trade-Tested Turner with strong CNC turning experience.

This is an excellent short-term temporary opportunity for a technically competent Turner who can work independently and deliver accurate, high-quality machining within a production environment.

Minimum Requirements
