Placements24 seeks a Telecoms Sales Engineer to drive tailored telecom solutions for clients in Upington and surrounding regions. The role blends client engagement with technical design and proposal development.

You will translate complex telecom concepts into business value, deliver compelling presentations, and support the sales cycle from initial inquiry to closure, with hybrid work flexibility and regional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years in a technical telecom role (e.g., network/systems engineer).
• Strong understanding of IP networking, VoIP, mobile, fiber, cloud services.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand their business requirements and technical challenges.
• Design and propose customized telecom solutions (network, voice, data).
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
• Collaborate with sales to support from lead gen to deal closure.
• Prepare technical proposals, SOWs and quotes.
• Provide pre-sales technical support and answer client questions.
