Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Telecoms Network Operations Analyst to monitor and maintain the performance and availability of critical network infrastructure in Bloemfontein. This hybrid role combines on-site and remote work to ensure seamless telecommunications services.

You will respond to incidents, perform proactive maintenance, and collaborate with engineering and support teams to uphold SLAs and improve network stability.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in network operations or a similar technical support role within the telecoms industry.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios) and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic, system performance, and alarms using network management tools.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents, outages, and performance degradation issues in a timely manner.
• Perform routine network health checks, system backups, and configuration updates.
• Analyze network data to identify trends, potential problems, and opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborate with Tier 2/3 support and engineering teams on complex troubleshooting and resolution efforts.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and documentation for network events and changes.
