Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Telecommunications Sales Engineer to join the team in Sandton. The role bridges technical solutions with customer needs, providing pre-sales support and expert solution selling across industries in Gauteng.

You will work with the sales team to design solutions and present proposals. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent communication, and at least 3 years' experience in technical sales support in telecoms, with a hybrid work model

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical sales support or sales engineering role within telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, VoIP, cloud communications, and mobility solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business benefits.
• Self-motivated and capable of working in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer business and technical requirements for telecommunications services and solutions.
• Design and present tailored technical solutions, including network architecture, product configurations, and service offerings.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective clients.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to develop winning proposals and respond to RFPs.
• Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle, from qualification to closing.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies in the telecommunications sector.
