Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Telecoms Solutions Architect based in Sandton to design comprehensive telecoms solutions for enterprise clients. You will work with sales, product development, and engineering to translate business needs into robust, scalable architectures, shaping technology strategies for Gauteng clients.

The role requires 7+ years in telecoms architecture or senior engineering, with strong SD-WAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, and cloud/UCaaS experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or Senior Network/Systems Engineer in telecoms.
Solid knowledge of SD-WAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and communication systems (VoIP/UCaaS).
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent presentation and client-facing communication skills.
Experience with security architectures and best practices is valued.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and architecture of complex telecoms solutions for enterprises, including cloud, network, and unified communications.
Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and develop tailored technical proposals.
Create detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and solution documentation.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and platforms to enhance service offerings.
Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the solution lifecycle, from presales to implementation.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in telecoms and networking.
