Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Telecom Quality Assurance Engineer for its Paarl team. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, work with developers to resolve defects, and ensure high quality telecom products and services in the Western Cape.

The role requires 3+ years in telecom QA or software testing, plus hands-on experience with test automation and telecom protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in telecom quality assurance or software testing.
Proficiency in testing methodologies and tools relevant to telecoms.
Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for telecom software and hardware.
Perform functional, integration, performance, and regression testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure thorough test coverage.
Automate testing processes where possible to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Validate bug fixes and ensure that resolved issues do not reintroduce problems.
