Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Telecom Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support and maintenance for telecommunications equipment across the Benoni region. You will be responsible for installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance, working directly with customers to resolve technical issues.

A hands-on approach and strong problem-solving skills are essential to ensure network reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer or Telecom Technician.
• Strong understanding of telecom systems, including fiber optics and wireless technologies.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the designated service area.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecommunications equipment at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostic tests and repairs on network hardware and software.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Respond to service calls and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports for all field activities in Benoni.
