Placements24 is seeking a skilled Telecom Field Engineer in Kimberley to install, maintain, and repair telecom infrastructure across customer sites and company facilities. You will ensure reliable network operation and deliver timely technical support in the Northern Cape region.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, independent work across diverse locations, and adherence to safety standards and company procedures. A technical diploma and travel willingness are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Field Engineer/Technician in telecom.
• Solid understanding of wireless tech (LTE, 5G), fiber optics, and transmission systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and field test equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecom equipment at customer sites and facilities.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative repairs on network hardware.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network failures, identify root causes, implement fixes.
• Conduct site surveys for new installations or upgrades.
• Maintain accurate service reports and inventory updates.
