Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Telecommunications Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support and installation services for clients in the Kimberley region. This hands-on role involves diagnosing and resolving telecom equipment issues to maintain network uptime and customer satisfaction.
You will travel within the territory, install and configure hardware such as routers, switches and phones, perform preventative maintenance, and provide training and documentation.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of field service or similar technical support experience.
- Technical qualification in telecommunications or electronics.
- Proficient with routers, switches and phones.
- Strong troubleshooting and network connectivity skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and repair telecom equipment at client sites.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software for voice and data networks.
- Perform preventative maintenance for optimal equipment performance.
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs promptly.
- Document activities, findings and resolutions accurately.
- Provide technical training and support to clients.
