Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Telecoms Network Deployment Engineer to oversee installation and commissioning of new network infrastructure in Kimberley. You will manage site readiness, equipment install, and initial testing to ensure services meet performance standards from day one.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree, 3-5 years in telecom deployment or field engineering, and strong project coordination, with hands-on hardware experience and knowledge of testing methodologies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years in network deployment or field engineering within telecom.
• Hands-on experience with telecom hardware installation and configuration.
• Familiarity with network testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute deployment of new telecom network equipment and services.
• Coordinate with field technicians, vendors, and stakeholders during deployment.
• Perform site surveys and readiness for equipment installation.
• Conduct acceptance testing and commissioning of deployed network elements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues.
• Maintain records of deployment progress and configurations.
