Job summary

RecruitSmith (PTY) LTD in Strand, Western Cape, is seeking a motivated Technical Sales Representative to identify new business and support existing clients with technical gas solutions. The role combines field visits, quotations, and after-sales support in a target-driven environment.

The successful candidate will have 2–5 years in technical or external sales, experience with industrial products, and a valid SA driver's licence. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software is required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in a technical sales or external sales role.
• Experience selling industrial products, engineering solutions, gas, welding equipment, hardware, or related products will be advantageous.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to read customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
• Self-motivated with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients.
• Conduct customer visits and present technical gas solutions.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Negotiate and close sales while achieving monthly targets.
• Provide exceptional after-sales service and technical support.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reports.
