Job summary

West Coast Personnel in Cape Town seeks an experienced internal/technical sales professional to convert inquiries into revenue and manage high-value quotations.

You will build strong relationships with installers, plumbers, contractors, and resellers, while driving monthly targets and maintaining a robust CRM pipeline. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is preferred, with a drive for growth in the solar and renewable energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Diploma in Sales, business, and technical qualification.
• Trade-related qualification in plumbing/electrical is advantageous.
• Sales or CRM training/certifications are advantageous.
• 5+ years in internal/technical/trade sales in solar, heat pumps, plumbing, electrical or renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and convert incoming sales enquiries into revenue.
• Prepare, manage, and follow up on high-value quotations.
• Build and grow relationships with installers, plumbers, contractors, and resellers.
• Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts.
• Drive monthly sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain and manage pipeline using CRM systems.
• Provide technical product advice and solutions to clients.
• Support and contribute to sales strategy, pricing, and customer engagement improvements.
• Collaborate with management to identify growth opportunities in the market.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge (heat pumps, solar water heating systems) and industry trends.
