Job summary

Frank Consult seeks an experienced Technical Sales Advisor to join the Western Cape team. This field-based role focuses on developing new business, growing existing accounts, and providing technical hygiene solutions within food manufacturing facilities.

You will visit customers Monday to Thursday, with Fridays for admin and online team meetings from a home office. Travel across the territory is extensive, with a strong emphasis on customer training and process improvements.

Qualifications

• External technical sales experience (3–5 years) in a related field.
• Experience selling to food manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, or Food Safety Management Systems.

Our client is a leading supplier of specialised cleaning and hygiene solutions to the food manufacturing industry. They are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Advisor to join their Western Cape team.

This is a field-based sales role where you will be responsible for developing new business, growing existing customer relationships, and providing technical advice on cleaning and hygiene solutions within food manufacturing facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct product demonstrations, trials, and implementation support.

• Deliver customer training on product application, handling, and safety.

• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reports, and customer visit schedules.

• Monitor competitor activity and identify new business opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, BCom, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years' proven external technical sales experience.

• Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and developing new business.

• Experience selling products or solutions into the food manufacturing industry.

• Strong knowledge of cleaning and hygiene processes within food production environments.

• Practical experience with detergent and disinfectant applications.

• Knowledge of CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) systems and open plant cleaning applications.

• HACCP, GMP, or Food Safety Management Systems knowledge.

• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively.
