Job summary

GAP Consulting in South Africa seeks an experienced Production Manager in the Automotive Manufacturing sector. The role requires 5–10 years in the field, with at least 4 years in production management and a degree in Operations, Project or Business Management.

Strong Excel, Lean Six Sigma, and ISO standards knowledge are essential. You will lead production planning, workflow, quality compliance, 5S, stakeholder communications, and staff development to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience in Automotive Manufacturing, with at least 4 in Production Management.
• Degree in Operations, Project or Business Management.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel ability.
• Experience leading Lean and Six Sigma projects.
• Experience with ISO standards including ISO 9001:2015, 45001 and 14001.
• Strong knowledge of workflow, quality standards, 5S and stakeholder comms.
• Knowledge of production planning, staff supervision, and training.
• Valid Driver's License and own transport.

Job description

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 5 to 10 years experience within the Automotive Manufacturing Industry of which at least 4 years has been in Production Management
• Degree in Operations | Project or Business Management required
• Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel ability
• Experienced in Leading Lean Business Improvements, managing Lean and Six Sigma Projects
• Experienced with ISO Standards including ISO 9001 (2015) | 45001 and 14001
• Strong working experience with Workflow Management | Quality Standards | 5S | Stakeholder Communications | Production Planning and Coordination | Staff Supervision, Training and Development and Smooth Flow Activity
• Strong knowledge Product Technical knowledge
• Valid Driver's License and own Transport required

Salary Structure:

• Basic Salary of R 70 000, negotiable based on experience
