Job summary

Elchemie Recruitment is seeking a Technical Accounts Manager in the Durban region (KZN, Inland Eastern parts) for a permanent role in a chemical manufacturing environment. You will serve as the primary technical liaison between our client and its clients, guiding product implementation, optimisation and issue resolution while collaborating with Sales, Product Development and Customer Support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' practical sales experience in the composites or related industry.
• Recognised National or International Sales Qualification / National or International Chemical or Related Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders and understand their technical and business needs.
• Act as the primary technical contact for client discussions, escalations and problem solving.
• Guide clients on product implementation, configuration, optimisation and best practices.
• Manage technical projects, coordinate resources, monitor timelines and communicate project status.
• Initiate customer contact, identify required products/services and support achievement of sales targets.
• Understand market trends and implement sales plans; forecast and monitor sales and evaluate targets regularly.
• Identify prospective customers, support customer events/hosting and maintain effective customer relationships.
• Assist with finance agreements and communicate customer credit positions to support continuity of supply.
• Assist with perpetual and quarterly stock counts as required.
