Job summary

Elchemie Recruitment seeks a Technical Services Manager (Polymers) in Durban to lead the Technical Services team, drive product development, and optimise formulations for quality and cost improvements. You will manage projects from concept to implementation and provide expert support to customers and branches.

The role requires strong technical leadership, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a proactive approach to innovation and continuous improvement within a polymer/composites

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technical Services team.
• Drive R&D of new and existing products.
• Optimise formulations to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Manage technical projects from concept to implementation.
• Provide technical support to customers and branches.
• Investigate product complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver technical training to customers, sales teams and staff.
• Maintain technical documentation and formulation packages.
• Develop and mentor technical staff.
• Liaise with suppliers and industry partners on new technologies.
• Promote continuous improvement and Green Technology initiatives.
