Job summary

JVR Software in Mpumalanga is seeking a seasoned Underground Supervisor to lead a small crew at the working face. The role requires hands-on leadership, strict safety discipline and the ability to enforce procedures in a demanding mining environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent with underground training certificates.
• 3 to 5 years’ underground experience including crew leadership.
• Good knowledge of conventional stoping and development, or trackless sections.
• Valid certificate of fitness.

Responsibilities

• Allocate tasks and supervise the team at the working face.
• Check the working place for hazards and report them before work starts.
• Make sure safe work procedures, equipment checks and PPE are followed.
• Keep production records and report to the shift supervisor.
• Coach and develop the team members and report attendance and discipline matters.
