Job summary

The Skills Mine is seeking an IT Manager to lead desktop support, oversee incident management, and coordinate IT operations for the Johannesburg regional office.

You will supervise IT user support staff, manage IT assets and vendor relationships, and drive deployment of new applications. Strong leadership and governance, SLAs, and project coordination experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Information Technology or related field at NQF level 6.
• MCITP-EA certification preferred.
• Up to 5 years of IT experience with supervision experience in user support/IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise desktop support technicians, ensuring service quality and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversee incident management and act as an escalation point for user support issues.
• Collaborate with the Johannesburg office to ensure seamless IT support for the regional office.
• Oversee IT asset procurement and administration, including secure stockroom management.
• Manage service provider relationships to ensure IT services meet SLAs.
• Provide end-to-end operational and technical support, including advice on IT projects.
• Oversee IT project implementation and resourcing.
• Drive the deployment of new applications in the regional office.
• Lead technical support for VCAV solutions.
• Document and maintain IT-related procedures.
• Participate in the IT operations committee.
