The University of the Free State invites applications for a Teaching and Learning Coordinator (post level 8) based at the Bloemfontein Campus. You will coordinate the Faculty’s Teaching and Learning operational plans, calendars, timetables and related systems, and support student success initiatives.

The role requires an honours or PG Diploma and at least three years in higher education administration, with strong communication, data analysis and project coordination skills; experience with

• Honours degree or PG Diploma on NQF Level 8 in Education or related field required.
• Minimum of three years’ relevant work experience in higher education incl curriculum administration, enrolment or timetable coordination, quality assurance, accreditation support or related functions.
• Knowledge of HEQSF, CHE requirements, and professional body accreditation processes preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the Faculty’s Teaching and Learning operational plans, calendars, committee activities, meetings, action registers and implementation tracking.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between the Deputy Dean: Teaching and Learning, Heads of Department, Programme Coordinators, the CTL and relevant institutional support services.
• Coordinate student success initiatives, including the A-STEP tutorial programme, and identify modules and students needing academic support.
• Analyse enrolment and throughput data, set module caps, coordinate capacity with other faculties, and verify implementation of caps.
• Coordinate class, test, examination and venue timetables and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Advise programme coordinators on curriculum-related registration queries and resolve complex student registration cases.
• Coordinate compilation, verification and updating of curriculum information for the Faculty rule book, prospectus, and course catalogue.
• Coordinate curriculum-system maintenance, including AIR-tree and curriculum building, module scheduling, system loading and pre-registration testing.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on curriculum advice, registration processes and related systems.
• Coordinate internal and external programme reviews, accreditation processes and DIRAP submissions, ensuring compliance and deadlines.
