Job summary

The University of the Free State (UFS) invites two interns to join the Centre for Teaching and Learning for a one-year contract. This role offers hands-on experience in academic coordination, tutoring support, and administrative tasks within higher education.

Responsibilities include building a tutor database, coordinating tutorials, supporting session plans, recording attendance, processing ad-hoc claims, aiding evaluations and portfolio assessments, and assisting with research and feedback

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma/B-Tech/postgraduate certificate (NQF Level 7).
• Must live within a commutable distance from the UFS Qwaqwa Campus.
• Must not have previous formal work experience or be in another internship.
• Willingness to sign a one-year internship agreement with UFS.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain a tutor database
• Book venues and manage scheduling for tutorials and training
• Support tutors with planning and implementation of session plans
• Capture attendance and evaluation data for reporting
• Assist with ad-hoc claims and payment processes
• Help coordinate evaluations and portfolio assessments
• Support research initiatives and feedback collection

Education
