The University of the Free State invites applications for the position of Programme Coordinator in the Department of Fine Arts on a five-year contract, Bloemfontein campus. The post requires permanent academic staff within the department and a start date around January 2027.

You will lead academic programmes, oversee enrolment planning, advise students, drive curriculum development, ensure quality assurance, and engage with stakeholders to strengthen graduate employability.

Qualifications

• Needs to lead academic programmes and governance.
• Must have MA in Fine Arts and ongoing PhD registration.
• Two years teaching experience at tertiary level.

Responsabilités

• Provide academic programme leadership and governance, including strategic planning and reporting.
• Manage operations including enrolment planning and student advising.
• Lead curriculum development and programme reviews for quality.
• Coordinate quality assurance and accreditation with university and professional bodies.
• Engage with staff, students, industry partners to strengthen relevance and graduate employability.
• Coordinate programme marketing and student recruitment to support enrolment.
• Maintain programme documentation and governance reports for informed decisions.
