Job summary

Embelo is seeking an experienced Talent Partner to lead recruitment across a portfolio of growing UK and South Africa-based businesses. This hybrid role, based in Woodstock, Cape Town, offers exposure to international hiring and collaboration with founders, hiring managers and senior leaders.

You will own end-to-end recruitment across roles, build talent pipelines and drive selection excellence using AI-enabled sourcing, with relocation support if moving from another city.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in agency, exec search or talent acquisition.
• Experience recruiting professional, technical or consulting roles.
• Experience recruiting into the UK market is advantageous.
• Diploma/degree in HR or related field is advantageous.

Working alongside our UK-based investors and portfolio businesses, our Central Operations team supports multiple fast-growing consulting businesses across technology, data, AI and professional services.

As our portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Talent Partner to lead recruitment across our businesses. This is far more than a traditional recruitment role. You'll become a trusted advisor to founders and business leaders, helping them attract exceptional people and build high-performing teams.

In this role, you'll take ownership of recruitment across a portfolio of growing UK businesses, partnering directly with founders, hiring managers and senior leaders. You'll recruit across a variety of roles and every week will be different, with opportunities to influence hiring decisions, improve recruitment processes and help shape the future of multiple growing businesses.

Location: Woodstock, Cape Town. Hybrid with 3-4 days per week in the office. If applying from another city, relocation to Cape Town will be required and should be arranged personally.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Partner with founders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and build effective recruitment strategies
• Run role briefing sessions, advising on market insights, salary benchmarking and attraction strategies
• Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across multiple simultaneous vacancies
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers through regular communication and trusted advice
• Manage stakeholder expectations while delivering an exceptional recruitment experience
• Proactively source exceptional candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, market mapping, referrals and direct headhunting
• Develop creative sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill technical and consulting roles
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring requirements
• Conduct high-quality competency-based interviews
• Prepare insightful candidate summaries with clear recommendations for hiring managers
• Manage offers, negotiations and candidate engagement through to acceptance
• Build long-term relationships with high-calibre professionals building a strong pipeline for each business
• Represent Embelo and our portfolio businesses professionally within the market
• Continuously improve recruitment processes, tools and ways of working
• Use AI and automation to improve sourcing, administration and candidate engagement
• Track recruitment metrics and provide regular hiring updates to stakeholders
• Work closely with the People Operations team to ensure smooth onboarding, light HR and compliance

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years' recruitment experience within agency, executive search or talent acquisition
• Strong experience recruiting professional, technical or consulting roles
• Proven ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously
• Experience partnering with hiring managers and senior stakeholders
• Strong sourcing and headhunting capability using LinkedIn Recruiter and other search techniques
• Excellent interviewing and candidate assessment skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter and recruitment technology
• Experience recruiting into the UK market would be highly advantageous
• Qualifications: Relevant diploma/degree in HR, Business, or a related field is advantageous, but not essential.
