Instant Impact is seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead for Pharma on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, working remotely from South Africa. You will own end‑to‑end recruitment across medical, commercial, regulatory, quality, and business support, ensuring SLAs and hiring targets are met globally.

You’ll source proactively, engage senior stakeholders, and bring market insights to drive decisions, all while leading a sourcing‑led approach in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Instant Impact is hiring a Talent Acquisition Lead – Pharma to join one of our existing embedded client partnerships. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, working remotely from South Africa on UK and European business hours.

As our TA Lead, you'll be at the heart of our exciting journey, driving the success of your partnership and playing an integral role as we kick off an extremely exciting period of growth. You'll be accountable for meeting and exceeding SLAs and hiring objectives across your portfolio of roles and you'll run your roles end to end, keep hiring moving at pace, and be the person stakeholders rely on to deliver great candidates and an excellent experience

Key Responsibilities:

As our TA Lead, you’ll be a key part of a long-standing embedded partnership with a global specialty pharmaceutical business. You’ll own a portfolio of roles end to end, keep hiring moving at pace, and be the person stakeholders rely on for great candidates and an excellent experience. You’ll be accountable for meeting and exceeding SLAs and hiring objectives. It’s a sourcing-led role: most shortlists come from candidates you’ve found yourself, so you’ll be headhunting from day one.

Recruitment Delivery

• Managing roles end to end, from intake through to offer and onboarding handover, across medical, commercial, regulatory, quality, legal and business support
• Sourcing proactively from day one on every role, using Boolean search, headhunting and passive outreach to reach hard-to-find pharma talent at all levels up to senior leadership
• Building talent intelligence before, during and after each search, and using it to set realistic expectations and guide stakeholder decisions
• Adapting your approach to the market so our partner stands out as an employer of choice across the UK and Europe

Service Delivery

• Prioritising your workload, pushing back where needed, and consistently delivering to SLAs
• Taking the lead on problem solving: spotting blockers early, reshaping processes where it speeds things up, and bringing solutions rather than escalations
• Owning your data and bringing market insight to your Talent Acquisition Director proactively, without needing to be chased
• Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues as part of our hive-knowledge culture

Stakeholder Partnership

• Building trusted relationships with hiring managers up to VP level, acting as a business partner
• Understanding business and hiring priorities, and planning ahead for future demand

Skills & Experience:

• Proven pharma recruitment experience is essential.
• Strong in-house, RPO or embedded recruitment experience, with a track record of delivering to SLAs and hiring targets. Agency recruiters with deep pharma experience and a partnership mindset are also welcome
• Skilled at direct sourcing and headhunting, confident building Boolean searches and engaging passive candidates
• Confident partnering with senior stakeholders, with clear examples of challenging, influencing and managing expectations
• Comfortable using data and market insight to drive hiring decisions
• Organised and resilient, able to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced, competitive market
• Genuinely curious about AI. You’re already experimenting with AI tools in your day-to-day work, whether for sourcing, screening, writing or research, and you’re keen to keep learning how they can make recruitment faster, smarter and more candidate-friendly
