Job summary

Exaze is seeking a capable Business Systems Analyst to join our software-focused team in South Africa. You will translate business requirements into functional specifications, validate solutions with stakeholders, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery.

You will document use cases, data models, and interface specifications, collaborate with developers and QA, and support process improvements while driving delivery from ideation to completion in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Technical Systems Analysis and Integration.
Experience in Data Analysis.
Experience in Agile (breaking down Epics into smaller User Stories, estimating, and writing User Stories).
Strong UML proficiency including Use Case, Sequence, Activity diagrams.
Experience coordinating with developers, testers and external parties.

Responsibilities

Business and technical requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring requirements and expectations are met, and that all possible scenarios are covered.
Formulation of analysis documentation, Functional Specifications, Interface Specifications, and prototypes in accordance with industry standards and team best practices.
Perform analysis on system interfaces and create corresponding interface specifications.
Introduction of Business Process improvements, and formulation of Process Diagrams.
Provide support to business in implementing effective and efficient solutions.
Define application problems by conferring with clients, evaluating procedures and processes.
Implement, configure, and test feasible solutions, and evaluate alternative workflow solutions.
Analyze, model, and interpret data using different tools and techniques.
Pursue enquiries with clients to understand the ‘why’ rather than the ‘what’ of the business request.
Challenge the business in their thinking, and develop alternative proposals, to ensure that the intent of the business requirement is met.
Ensure that the solution architecture is aligned with the business and functional requirements.
