Job summary

Ergasia Placements in Bloemfontein seeks a security and IT infrastructure technician to install, monitor, repair and troubleshoot surveillance systems and access control devices. You will inspect equipment, perform cable runs, and ensure SOP compliance while maintaining biometric and electronic locking systems.

Required are hands-on IT hardware/network experience, a valid RSA driver’s license, and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF4.
• 3 years of experience in an IT environment.
• Minimum 2 years exposure in IT Hardware, Network, Infrastructure, CCTV and Access Control.
• Valid RSA Driver's License with own, reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, repair and troubleshoot surveillance systems as per SOP.
• Inspect surveillance systems for signs of malfunction.
• Install, configure, and maintain access control systems, including biometric devices, keypads, turnstiles, intercoms and electronic locking systems.
• Conducting cable installations and connections of installed devices as well as verifying compliance as per SOP.
• Suggest areas where equipment should be set up.
• Verify that all CCTV cameras are in operating condition, recording and report any non-conformance to Management immediately.
