Job summary

A Bloemfontein-based manufacturing site is seeking a vigilant Surveillance Technician to safeguard staff, contractors, and visitors. You will monitor CCTV systems, install and repair hardware, and support security investigations with precise footage.

Requirements include Grade 12, 1+ years in a technical setting, hands-on surveillance experience, a SA driver's licence, and knowledge of ISO 22000 and forklift safety practices. This is a full-time on-site role with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/National Senior Certificate required.
• 1+ years in a technical environment.
• At least 1 year in surveillance installations and network infrastructure.
• Valid South African driver's licence with own transport.
• Foundational understanding of ISO 22000 and food safety protocols.
• Basic safe stacking procedures and forklift operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, and repair site surveillance systems.
• Troubleshoot and perform fault-finding inspections on hardware.
• Carry out physical cable installations and connect surveillance devices.
• Verify daily CCTV operation and escalate non-conformances.
• Provide accurate footage for security investigations.
• Maintain hygiene, occupational health and safety and environmental standards.
