Job summary

Aspire Recruiting (PTY) LTD in Bloemfontein is seeking a vigilant Surveillance Technician to safeguard premises by monitoring CCTV systems, wiring, and network hardware. You will install, test, and repair surveillance equipment, documenting incidents and contributing to security investigations.

Applicants should have 1 year in a technical environment, 1 year in surveillance installations, a valid SA driver’s license and own transport, plus an understanding of ISO 22000 and forklift basics.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent educational qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical environment.
• At least 1 year exposure to surveillance installations and network infrastructure.
• Valid South African driver's license with own reliable transport.
• Foundational understanding of ISO 22000 and commercial food safety protocols.
• Basic knowledge of safe stacking procedures and forklift operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, and repair various site surveillance systems.
• Troubleshoot fault-finding inspections on hardware to detect malfunctions.
• Execute physical cable installations and connect surveillance devices.
• Verify daily CCTV camera status and escalate any non-conformances.
• Provide accurate footage evidence to assist security investigations.
• Uphold workplace hygiene, occupational health and safety, and environmental standards.
