Job summary

SACAP, The South African College of Applied Psychology, seeks an Academic Support Advisor for its Johannesburg Campus. The advisor provides comprehensive academic guidance, helping students plan studies, develop coping strategies and access resources for success.

The role includes monitoring progress, intervening with at‑risk students, and coordinating with student‑facing teams to support retention and engagement. Reports to the Academic Support Manager.

Qualifications

• Honours degree or 5+ years of cognate experience with strong academic results
• Advanced computer literacy and experience with online systems
• 2 years of full-time experience in Higher Education preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support and development services to empower students to achieve academic success
• Offer guidance on study planning, study strategies and interventions
• Monitor student progress, intervene with at-risk students and support retention efforts
