The Working Earth in South Africa is seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee day-to-day building operations for student accommodation. You will create and supervise maintenance work orders, manage property systems, and ensure regulatory compliance across facilities.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure while delivering accurate records, monthly reports, and engagement initiatives for residents.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day building operations
• Create and oversee maintenance work orders
• Manage property systems (MyBuildings, PIMS, Rise)
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
• Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
• Address student queries, complaints, and escalations
• Oversee student intake and vacate processes
• Maintain accurate student records
• Coordinate student events and engagement initiatives
• Compile and submit monthly management reports; Assist with budgeting and financial tracking
• Support occupancy and revenue optimisation initiatives
