Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Structural Engineering Technician for our Randburg client. You will prepare detailed drawings, assist with calculations, and help document structural designs under supervision. A strong CAD background and good collaboration with engineers are essential.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s in Structural Engineering Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Structural Engineering Technician.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit is a plus.
• Solid understanding of structural principles and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.
• Assist engineers with structural calculations and analyses for building components.
• Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and monitor construction progress.
• Maintain organized project documentation, drawings, reports and calculations.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure design accuracy and project requirements.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for design intent compliance.
