You will integrate geotechnical data, ensure code compliance (SANS), mentor junior staff, and collaborate with architects and construction teams on a range of mining-adjacent facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Pr.Eng. or Pr.Eng. Tech. registration with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant structural engineering experience with geotechnical exposure.
• Experience designing building structures and foundations.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and structures in compliance with codes and standards.
• Conduct geotechnical investigations and interpret soil reports for foundation design.
• Design shallow and deep foundations based on site conditions.
• Prepare structural drawings, calculations and specs for construction.
• Collaborate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams.
• Review RFIs and submittals during construction.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure design compliance.
• Utilize advanced structural analysis software and modeling techniques.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to project proposals and business development.
