Job summary

Jobgether, partnering with a SA fintech leader, seeks a seasoned Skills Development Partner to own the skills development strategy, ensure compliance with SA legislation, and drive multi-program initiatives including learnerships, internships, and leadership development. You will work with leadership, HC, SETAs, and external partners to close critical gaps and deliver measurable ROI.

The role encompasses governance, reporting, and data-driven decision making, aiming to build a Learning Academy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, L&D, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• Registered Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) accreditation is essential.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in skills development, learning and development, or related field.
• Experience managing Workplace Skills Plans (WSP), ATRs, and SETA submissions.
• Experience engaging with SETAs and managing discretionary grant applications and funding opportunities.
• Experience contributing to BBBEE scorecard compliance, especially Skills Development pillar.
• At least 3 years of learning-related reporting, data analysis, and insights experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAQA, NQF, BBBEE, SETA frameworks and relevant SA legislation.
• Designing and evaluating impactful learning programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and govern the organisation’s skills development strategy.
• Ensure compliance with Skills Development Act, NQF Act, SAQA Act, BBBEE Act and related labour legislation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and prepare for audits and reviews.
• Align Workplace Skills Plan with organisational strategy with leadership.
• Identify current and future skills gaps and design targeted solutions.
• Lead delivery and evaluation of learnerships, internships, apprenticeships, leadership development, and upskilling initiatives.
• Support journey toward accredited Learning Academy.
• Build relationships with SETAs and other stakeholders.
• Prepare Workplace Skills Plans, ATRs and grant applications accurately and on time.
• Identify funding opportunities and manage grant processes to maximise ROI.
• Oversee reporting on skills development, EE and BBBEE requirements.
• Develop dashboards and insights to support decision-making and ROI.
• Improve processes and data accuracy; champion automation and integration.
• Act as SME on learning compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Train and guide managers in implementing development initiatives.
• Promote learning culture and align development with strategic priorities.
• Manage training budgets and resources efficiently.
• Support internal teams with knowledge-sharing and stakeholder engagement.
