You will craft robust life‑of‑mine plans, balancing economic viability with safety and environmental considerations, while collaborating across departments using advanced planning tools.

The role emphasizes long‑term strategic planning, strong mining economics knowledge, and proficiency with Deswik, Vulcan, or Surpac.

Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in mine planning, with a focus on long‑term strategy.
Strong understanding of mine economics, planning constraints, and risk.
Proficiency with mine planning software (Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac).
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain life‑of‑mine plans incorporating geology, targets and economics.
Design and sequence pits, haul routes and waste management.
Perform economic evaluations and sensitivity analyses for scenarios.
Collaborate with geology and operations to align plans with conditions.
Identify opportunities to improve mining methods and resource use.
Prepare technical reports and presentations on long‑term mine strategy.
