Job summary

Profession Hub in Johannesburg is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize all Contract Logistics operations. The role involves managing inventory, forecasting, coordinating movement of goods, and ensuring stock accuracy across locations.

You will work with regional teams and procurement to improve efficiency and governance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in logistics or supply chain management, with strong SAP and logistics software experience, and a focus on continuous process

Qualifications

• Matric (Senior Certificate) required.
• National Diploma/Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• Preferred: Certification in supply chain management or logistics.
• Valid SA Driver’s License required.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
• Experience with logistics software and systems.
• Experience in the Telecommunications Industry.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Practical knowledge of Supply Chain; Basic Technical Telecommunications knowledge.
• MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project & Outlook (Intermediate).
• SAP knowledge.
• Inventory Management.
• OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to support company goals.
• Manage and optimise transportation and distribution network timelines.
• Monitor and track shipments and orders for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in line with warehouse ops.
• Maintain Field Technician Vehicle inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and standards.
• Analyse data and trends for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction.
