Job summary

Bidvestfacilitiesmanagement is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee contract logistics operations, inventory forecasting, and audit compliance. You will coordinate with regional teams and departments to optimize processes and efficiency, while maintaining stock accuracy and timely shipping.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in logistics, strong SAP and MS Office skills, and a track record in managing complex logistics networks within a telecommunications context.

Qualifications

• Matric (Senior Certificate)
• National Diploma/Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification in supply chain management or logistics
• Valid SA Drivers’ License
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices
• Proficient with logistics software and systems
• Experience in the Telecommunications Industry
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in a managerial or supervisory role
• Practical knowledge of Supply Chain; Basic Technical Telecommunications knowledge
• MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level)
• SAP knowledge
• Inventory Management.
• OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to support company goals and objectives
• Manage and optimize transportation and distribution network timelines
• Manage, Monitor, and track shipments and orders to ensure timely delivery
• Manage and Maintain accurate inventory levels in line with warehouse operations
• Manage and Maintain accurate Field Technician Vehicle inventory levels
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction

Skills

5+ years experience in logistics

Strong knowledge of supply chain

Prioritization & multi-project mgmt

Managerial or supervisory experience

Telecommunications industry knowledge

Proficient with logistics software

MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Out\-

Education
