Placements24 in Randburg is seeking a visionary Information Security Architect to design and implement secure, scalable security solutions across enterprise environments. This role demands a deep understanding of enterprise security architecture, threat modeling, and risk management.

You will translate business requirements into security designs, set technical direction, and influence stakeholders while guiding risk management, threat modeling, and security governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information security with a focus on security architecture.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for complex environments (cloud and on‑prem).
• Strong understanding of network, application, data security and IAM.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (TOGAF, SABSA) and risk management methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and document enterprise-wide security architecture aligned with business objectives.
• Develop security standards, guidelines, and best practices for the organization.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new systems and apps.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to implement secure designs and controls.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on security architecture principles.
