Placements24 is seeking a strategic Cyber Security Architect to join our Benoni-based team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing a security architecture that protects the organization's assets and infrastructure, with emphasis on integrating security across IT systems.

You will define security standards, evaluate new technologies, and guide security in the SDLC while collaborating with IT for secure cloud deployments (AWS, Azure) in a hybrid work model that blends on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, InfoSec, or related field.
• 7+ years in cyber security with architecture/design focus.
• Deep understanding of network, application, cloud security, and data protection.
• Experience with security frameworks (TOGAF, SABSA, NIST, ISO 27001) and translating complex requirements.
• Excellent communication and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure enterprise architectures aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies.
• Lead the integration of security into the SDLC.
• Collaborate with IT teams for secure cloud deployments (AWS, Azure).
• Provide expert guidance on threat modeling and risk assessments.
