Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a visionary Remote Lead Information Security Architect to define security architecture, standards, and roadmaps, guiding secure design across cloud, network, and applica­tion environments.

You will lead a team of security architects and engineers, collaborating with IT, engineering, and business units to embed security throughout the development lifecycle and drive strategic security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years in information security with focus on architecture and design.
• Proven ability to design scalable security architectures.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, network security, IAM, and cryptography.
• Experience with security frameworks and risk methodologies.
• Strong leadership and remote-team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain information security architecture, standards, and roadmaps.
• Oversee secure solutions across cloud, network, and application environments.
• Lead threat modeling and risk assessments to identify architectural weaknesses.
• Define security requirements for new systems and initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business units to embed security.
• Mentor a team of security architects and engineers.
