Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced Information Security Architect to design and implement secure technical solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. This senior role will develop security blueprints and guide development teams on secure design principles.

You will define security standards, evaluate new technologies, and lead threat modeling and architecture reviews to improve the organization's security posture while aligning with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years of information security experience with a focus on architecture and design.
• Proven experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cryptography, IAM, and threat detection.
• Experience with frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the organization's information security architecture.
• Develop and document security standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies to enhance security posture.
