Job summary

South32 is recruiting for a permanent, full-time Manager Human Resources at Hotazel Manganese Mines (HMM) in the Northern Cape. Lead and execute the HR strategy, coach HR teams, and ensure high-quality support across the employment lifecycle to enable operational objectives.

Reporting to the VP Operations MnSA. Key duties include leading HR professionals, shaping business-aligned HR plans, managing workforce planning, remuneration, and performance, and steering ER strategy with engagement across

Qualifications

• 5–7 years experience as an HR professional (essential).
• Demonstrated leadership experience with teams of similar size (essential).
• Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders to follow established standards.
• Strong knowledge of industrial relations principles in a heavy industry context.
• Experience managing end-to-end enterprise agreement negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR Strategy and oversee HR coaching across the full employment lifecycle.
• Develop HR strategies aligned with business objectives at Hotazel Manganese Mines (HMM).
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to deliver fit-for-purpose service.
• Drive HR improvement plans and ensure adherence to the global HR model.
• Support the Operational Leadership Team on workforce planning, rewards, and development.
• Guide ER strategy and ensure industrial agreements support operations.
• Manage litigation coordination and external bodies as needed.
• Foster a diverse, high-performing, engaged workforce.
