Placements24 is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting operations in Pretoria with a hybrid work setup. You will manage financial reporting, controls, and budgeting while ensuring IFRS compliance and regulatory adherence.

Strong leadership and strategic insight are essential. The role requires a CA(SA) or CIMA, 8+ years in accounting (3+ in management), and proficiency in SAP/Oracle with advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional certification such as CA(SA) or CIMA is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years accounting experience with at least 3 in a supervisory role.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including payables, receivables, GL, payroll and reporting.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Manage month-end and year-end closes and prepare financial statements.
• Develop budgets and forecasts; monitor performance against plan.
• Ensure IFRS and tax compliance; coordinate with auditors.
