Placements24 in Rustenburg is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead accounting operations, drive IFRS/GAAP reporting, and strengthen internal controls. The role emphasizes budgeting, forecasting, and collaboration with senior management in a hybrid work setting.

You will manage financial processes, mentor the team, and engage with external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA qualifications are highly desirable.
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Sage and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, payroll and treasury.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements per IFRS/GAAP.
• Maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and reporting integrity.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting with department heads.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Provide financial analysis to support senior management decisions.
• Manage cash flow and treasury functions; optimize liquidity.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory changes.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team.
• Assist in new accounting systems implementation.
