Placements24 is seeking a skilled and proactive Legal Counsel to join its established legal team in Benoni, Gauteng. You will advise on corporate and commercial matters, draft and negotiate contracts, and support governance and compliance.

The ideal candidate is an admitted attorney with 5+ years' post-qualification experience, strong analytical and negotiation abilities, and the ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts is essential.
• Knowledge of SA company law, governance, and regulatory compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including service level, supply, and partnership contracts.
• Provide legal advice on corporate structuring, mergers, acquisitions, and divisitures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and maintain corporate governance.
