Job summary

Ability Executive Recruitment is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for a Sandton-based group. The role leads finance, legal, IT, HR and compliance functions to drive financial discipline and scalable growth across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will partner with the CEO and executive team to set strategy, optimize capital structure, oversee budgeting, reporting, controls and risk management, ensuring regulatory compliance and long-term value creation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience directing finance, legal, IT, HR and compliance functions at executive level.
• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification required.
• 15+ years in senior financial leadership within asset-heavy, multi-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational finance across all sites, ensuring capital discipline and value creation.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, internal controls and external audits.
• Drive ESG, risk management and governance programs in line with regulatory requirements.
• Partner with CEO and executive team to set strategy and performance targets.
