The Focus Group seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function, shape financial strategy, and drive profitable growth from its Sandton, Gauteng office. This role blends on-site leadership with remote strategic planning.

With 12+ years in financial management, including senior finance leadership, you will own FP&A, accounting, treasury, tax, and investor relations, while guiding capital structure and risk management in a dynamic, executive setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance/Accounting with strong technical expertise.
• 12+ years of progressive financial management experience, including 7+ years in a senior finance role.
• Proven track record in strategic financial leadership and capital management.
• Deep knowledge of financial planning, accounting principles, IFRS, and corporate finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial activities including accounting, treasury, tax, FP&A.
• Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy and policies.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting cycles.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and other regulations; drive risk management.
• Lead investor relations and communicate performance to stakeholders.
• Oversee capital structure, debt financing, and equity offerings.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks; provide strategic advice to CEO/Board.
• Oversee cash management and optimize working capital.
• Drive initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability.
