Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to lead the organization's financial planning, risk management, and reporting in Durban, South Africa. The role demands strategic vision, strong leadership, and extensive experience in manufacturing finance.

Responsibilities span treasury, budgeting, IFRS compliance, and stakeholder engagement with the CEO and Board. A hybrid work model is offered, with on-site collaboration at the Durban headquarters.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting designation (CA(SA), ACCA, CPA) or equivalent.
• MBA or master's in Finance is highly desirable.
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, CFO or Senior Finance Executive.
• Proven experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and risk management.
• Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial operations and drive business growth.
• Familiarity with the Durban economic environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead the development and implementation of the company's financial strategy.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and FP&A.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board of Directors.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, IFRS, and governance requirements.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks with robust internal controls.
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and regulators.
• Oversee capital structure, treasury functions, and investments.
• Drive initiatives to improve financial performance, profitability, and efficiency.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.
